Last night was my first FRG meeting (Family Readiness Group). Mostly it is the wives of the soldiers get together and discuss up coming events in the unit. Well when we lived in Texas I went to one of the group meeting and I absolutely hated it. They were sooo snobby I didn't want to have anything to do with them. When me moved her The Soldier kept telling me that it was going to be different. I told him I would try the first meeting and see how it went. Well I really enjoyed myself. As much as I hate to admit it, The Soldier was right! I met alot of nice women. They were very welcoming. So I guess change is good. I actually have a play date with some of the women I met last night. Maybe this is the start me something good. Who knows??? I still miss all my "family" in Texas, but they know I love them. I will let ya know how the play date goes.... I have to go get ready!!! Here's hoping!!!

Lissy,
This makes me so happy--I want to CRY! I have been so worried about you but I am glad to see that things are looking up. Love ya!
I agree with your mom - was kinda worried when you told me you were hibernating in the house (kinda sounded like me - ha ha!). But I am glad you gave it a go and met some nice gals! Not everyone can be Hayley, sigh, but it is really good you are making friends!
WONDERFUL!!!
I came over here specifically to find out. I hope this is the beginning of some awesome new friendships.
Do you think that there are any FRG groups down here and could the cousin of a soldier join? Girl, I have NOBODY!!
