Where did it go???

So my son is always asking this question, "Where did it go?" Which I know he has to be confused with us moving so much in the past couple of months. I know I am. When we first moved out to Texas I was really lonely. I have lived in the same house for 20 years and now I had to move to a completely different state and a whole new life. With no family close by. Little did I know I would make a new family. These people where and still are my family. I know most wouldn't understand but when you are in the military you have make shift families. They know what you are going through and can hold your hand when you need it.

Well first came the Krafts...Bane, Traci, Landon, and Alaina (she is still in Traci's tummy in this pic..) from Ohio.

We met them through one of our neighbors. We have been friends since we first moved there. She had just had Landon. It was funny.... She didn't like The Soldier and I didn't like Bane. But we all got over that. When I was pregnant she would answer any question that I had. And she is still doing it today. Now we are all family. Through Traci and Bane we met....

The Kolbs....Jason, Hayley, and Callan, from Minnosota.

The Soldier was gone to help with Katrina....Traci and Bane asked if i wanted to go to the rodeo with them. I did and that is when I met Jason and Hayley. I thought it was funny because they where sooo excited about a rodeo. Where I come from we have rodeos every other week. It just cracked me up. They are there for everything for Little Mans first Birthday, and welcoming The Soldier Home. And we would just get together just to hang out and grill. Or just going to the lake so the boys could fish.

Then Reynolds moved in next door.... Paul and Sarah from Iowa.
Once they moved in they were in our lives forever. They where there for Little Mans first Birthday. For me to fuss at about the whole deployment, to welcome The soldier home.... anything I needed she was there. There where many night that we would just sit at the house and play cards all night. It was hard telling them bye. I know we may not talk as much as we use to but she know I love her.

So I know my family worried about me being out in Texas with out any family.....but we made our own family!!

I just hope that with the new post I can make friends half as good as Texas.
